Ways in

Four ways to get started

You don't need years of experience. Many Panhandle employers will train the right person.

Entry-level jobs

Helper, lube tech, porter, trainee and Level I roles where you learn on the job and move up.

Paid internships

A paid, time-limited role with someone to guide you. Great while you're in school or just finished.

Paid work experience

A set stretch of supervised work so you can learn a job, build a reference and show what you can do.

Apprenticeships

A paid job where you earn while you learn a trade, often alongside classes.

Help along the way

Support that may be available to you

Depending on your situation, public workforce programs may help with training costs, certifications, tools, transportation or child care while you get started. Take the free 2-minute check to see what may fit, and we'll help you follow up.

Training and certifications

Short programs at local colleges for skills like welding, CDL, nursing assistant, HVAC and electrical.

Getting to work

Help with things that can stand in the way of a new job, like tools, work boots or getting there.

A real reference

Paid work experience gives you something to put on a résumé and someone who can vouch for you.

We pre-screen only. Your local workforce board decides who qualifies for public programs and how much help is available.
